Hans Enoksen is a Greenlandic politician who served as Prime Minister of Greenland from 2002 to 2009. He was born on 7 August 1956 in Itilleq, Greenland. Enoksen studied at the University of Copenhagen, where he earned a degree in political science. He began his political career in the 1980s, when he was elected to the Greenlandic Parliament. He served as Minister of Fisheries and Hunting from 1991 to 1997, and as Minister of Finance from 1997 to 2002. In 2002, Enoksen was elected Prime Minister of Greenland, a position he held until 2009. During his tenure, he focused on improving the economy and infrastructure of Greenland, as well as increasing the autonomy of the country. Enoksen is currently a member of the Greenlandic Parliament, representing the Siumut party. He is also a member of the board of directors of the Bank of Greenland.
