He is best known for his work in the comic book industry, having worked for Marvel Comics, DC Comics, and other publishers. LeDoux began his career in the 1940s, working for Dell Comics and other publishers. He worked on titles such as The Lone Ranger, Tarzan, and The Phantom. He also worked on comic strips such as The Adventures of Smilin' Jack and The Little King. In the 1950s, LeDoux began working for Marvel Comics, where he worked on titles such as Journey into Mystery, Tales to Astonish, and Strange Tales. He also worked on the early issues of The Incredible Hulk. In the 1960s, LeDoux worked for DC Comics, where he worked on titles such as The Flash, The Atom, and The Brave and the Bold. He also worked on the early issues of The Justice League of America. LeDoux continued to work in the comic book industry until the late 1970s. 2006

LeDoux officially held the position for over four decades, with his last strip running on May 28, 2006. Comic book artist Eduardo Barreto replaced him.

1952

He then worked as assistant to artist Dan Heilman on the successful Judge Parker strip just as or shortly after the strip debuted in 1952. Ledoux claimed that "by the last week of September 1953, I had the job of drawing Judge Parker for myself." It may be that he was ghosting for or was supervised by Heilman in a studio arrangement, both common circumstances in comic strip history. In any case, it was not until 1965 that LeDoux was credited as artist on the strip, as Heilman relinquished the title to pursue another project (he died shortly after).
