Harry Benham was an American actor who was active in the early 20th century. He was born on February 26, 1884 in Valparaiso, Indiana. He began his career in vaudeville and made his Broadway debut in the musical comedy "The Red Mill" in 1906. He went on to appear in numerous Broadway productions, including "The Three Musketeers" (1908), "The Fortune Hunter" (1909), and "The Girl from Utah" (1914). Benham also appeared in several silent films, including "The Great Adventure" (1915), "The Great Impersonation" (1917), and "The Great Love" (1918). He retired from acting in the 1920s and died on April 15, 1945 in Los Angeles, California. At the time of his death, Benham had an estimated net worth of $1 million. He earned his wealth through his acting career, which spanned over two decades.

Indiana-born Harry Benham grew up in Chicago, Illinois. As a child he was possessed of a fine singing voice and sang in the local church choir. In 1904 the traveling musical "Peggy from Paris" was playing in Chicago and he got a job in the chorus. He soon graduated to singing the lead role. His success in that production led to roles in other plays, such as "The Sultan of Sulu", "Woodland" and "Marrying Mary".
