Hashibur Rahman Swapon is a Bangladeshi politician and former Member of Parliament. He was born on 16 June 1956 in Sirajganj District, Bangladesh. He is a member of the Bangladesh Awami League and served as the Member of Parliament for Sirajganj-2 from 2008 to 2014. Swapon completed his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Dhaka in 1979. He was elected to the Parliament of Bangladesh in 2008 and served until 2014. He was the Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Education. Swapon is married and has two children. He is a philanthropist and has been involved in various charitable activities. He is also a member of the Bangladesh Awami League's Central Working Committee.
