Henrik Norrthon is a Swedish professional ice hockey player who currently plays for the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was drafted by the Sharks in the first round, ninth overall, of the 1998 NHL Entry Draft. Norrthon began his professional career with the Swedish Elite League's Färjestads BK in 1997. He played four seasons with the club, winning the Swedish Championship in 2000. He was named the Swedish Elite League's Rookie of the Year in 1998 and was a two-time All-Star. In 2001, Norrthon signed with the Sharks and made his NHL debut during the 2001–02 season. He has since become one of the Sharks' most reliable defensemen, appearing in over 800 games with the club. He was named an alternate captain in 2008 and was a member of the Sharks' Stanley Cup Final team in 2016. Norrthon has represented Sweden in several international tournaments, including the 2006 Winter Olympics, the 2004 World Cup of Hockey, and the 2002 and 2006 World Championships. He won a gold medal at the 2006 Olympics and a silver medal at the 2004 World Cup. As of 2021, Henrik Norrthon's net worth is estimated to be $20 million.
