In 1943 the Treasury Dept. named him special events director for the 7th War Bond Drive. For the drive he wrote the song "It's the Seventh" and produced the show "Forum" in which many stars of stage and screen participated.

1940

In the late 1940s he produced the radio talent show "Cavalcade of Youth" for which he received an award from Billboard magazine for giving young talent a chance to be heard.
