Hick Cady was an American actor who was born on 26 January, 1886 in Bishop Hill, Illinois, USA. He was best known for his roles in the films The Great Train Robbery (1903), The Great K & A Train Robbery (1926), and The Iron Horse (1924). Cady began his career in vaudeville and burlesque, and later moved to the legitimate stage. He made his film debut in 1903 in The Great Train Robbery, and went on to appear in over 100 films. He was known for his roles as a villain, often playing a gang leader or a corrupt politician. Cady was married twice, first to actress Lillian Leighton, and later to actress and singer Lillian Lorraine. He had two children, a son and a daughter. Cady died on 28 April, 1945 in Los Angeles, California, USA. He was 59 years old.
