Huw Price is an Australian philosopher and academic. He is the Bertrand Russell Professor of Philosophy at the University of Cambridge, and a Fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge. He is also a Fellow of the British Academy and a Fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities. Price was born in Oxford, England, on 17 May 1953. He studied philosophy at the University of Sydney, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in 1975 and a Master of Arts in 1977. He then moved to the United States, where he completed a PhD in philosophy at Princeton University in 1981. Price has held a number of academic positions, including at the University of Sydney, the University of Melbourne, the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Cambridge. He has also held visiting positions at the University of Pittsburgh, the University of Michigan, and the University of Oxford. Price's research focuses on the philosophy of time, the philosophy of physics, and the philosophy of language. He is the author of several books, including Time's Arrow and Archimedes' Point (1996), Naturalism Without Mirrors (2011), and The Metaphysics Within Physics (2017). He is also the editor of several collections of essays, including The Reality of Time and the Existence of God (2008) and The Oxford Handbook of Philosophy of Time (2013).
