Igor Bezgin is a Soviet and Russian actor. He is best known for his roles in the films The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath! (1975), The Meeting Place Cannot Be Changed (1979), and The Diamond Arm (1969). Bezgin was born in Kharkov, Ukrainian SSR, USSR (now Kharkiv, Ukraine). He graduated from the Kharkov Institute of Arts in 1954. Bezgin began his career in the theater in 1954, and made his film debut in the comedy The Diamond Arm (1969). He went on to appear in numerous films, including The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath! (1975), The Meeting Place Cannot Be Changed (1979), and The Barber of Siberia (1998). Bezgin has also appeared in numerous television series, including The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson (1979–1986), The Adventures of Petrov and Vasechkin (1981–1982), and The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson: The Hound of the Baskervilles (1983). Bezgin has been awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labour, the Order of Friendship of Peoples, and the Order of Honour. He has also been awarded the title of People's Artist of the USSR.
