Imed Abdelnabbi is an Egyptian chess Grandmaster who was born on 15 November 1957 in Cairo, Egypt. He is the first Egyptian to become a Grandmaster in chess. He was awarded the title in 1985. Abdelnabbi has won several international tournaments, including the World Junior Chess Championship in 1979, the African Chess Championship in 1981, and the Arab Chess Championship in 1982. He has also represented Egypt in several Chess Olympiads. Abdelnabbi is currently the President of the Egyptian Chess Federation and the Vice President of the African Chess Confederation. He is also a member of the International Chess Federation (FIDE). As of 2021, Imed Abdelnabbi's net worth is estimated to be around $1 million.
