Indradasa Hettiarachchi was a Sri Lankan politician and diplomat. He was the Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1977 to 1978 and the Minister of Plantation Industries from 1978 to 1979. He was also the Sri Lankan Ambassador to the United States from 1979 to 1983. Hettiarachchi was born on 13 October 1927 in Kalutara, Sri Lanka. He was educated at St. Thomas' College, Mount Lavinia and the University of Ceylon, Colombo. He was a member of the United National Party and was elected to the Parliament of Sri Lanka in 1977. Hettiarachchi was the Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1977 to 1978 and the Minister of Plantation Industries from 1978 to 1979. He was also the Sri Lankan Ambassador to the United States from 1979 to 1983. Hettiarachchi was a recipient of the Sri Lanka Ratna, the highest civilian award in Sri Lanka. He died on 28 April 2021 at the age of 96.
