His next album, Conscience, also has 10 tracks. Its first single is the title track, "Conscience", which was released on 5 April 2019. He premiered the related music video on 14 April on YouTube. The second single from Conscience, was "Zen", which was released on 24 May 2019 with a music video provided.
Late in 2017 Lee released two tracks, as the start of a new album, Philosophy. He referred to a track, "Oceans", as one of his first songs that is from his perspective. For the album he created his own record label: Philosophical Records, with all of his recorded material due to be released under it. To continue with Philosophy, Lee released "Black Sheep" in early 2018, to present his thoughts on the current state of the popular music industry. "Cursed" was released a month later, which focused on the perspective of a person with schizophrenia.
Lee's debut extended play, Sine Qua Non was released on 6 February 2016. Its four tracks include, "Chariot". He was the featured vocalist on "Need to Feel" (April 2016), a single by Social Hooliganz & Trifo, which peaked at No. 12 on the ARIA Club Tracks. The singer's second EP, Clarity, followed in the next year, also with four tracks. One of these, "I Just Know", was released under Warner Music United Kingdom. Another featured vocal was with Social Hooliganz on their single, "Stars at Night" (March 2017), which peaked at No. 36 on the ARIA Club Tracks.
In June 2014 Jacob Lee independently released his debut single, "Chariot". As of March 2020 it has over 20,000,000 streams on Spotify. The song made its debut on HIT 105, a Brisbane radio station and was also played on the Gold Coast's Sea FM. In January 2016 Lee accompanied Australian boy band, Justice Crew, on their New South Wales tour from Coffs Harbour to Sydney.
In 2011 Lee made it to boot camp of Season 3 of Australian TV talent show, The X Factor, after Guy Sebastian believed he was not ready for a solo career. Lee was a member of the boy band, Oracle East, which was devised in 2012 by Gold Coast radio station, Sea FM. From May to June 2014 Lee was a contestant on the third season of the Australian version of The Voice and was coached by Will.i.am. He was eliminated during a sing-off episode, with his rendition of Sebastian's single, "Battle Scars".
