Janina Korowicka is a Polish speed skater who was born on 14 April, 1954 in Syców, Poland. She is 66 years old. Korowicka is a two-time Olympic medalist, having won a bronze medal in the 500 m event at the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck, and a silver medal in the 1000 m event at the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid. She also won a bronze medal in the 500 m event at the 1978 World Allround Speed Skating Championships in Heerenveen. Korowicka is also a four-time European Allround Champion, having won the title in 1976, 1977, 1979 and 1980. She also won a bronze medal in the 500 m event at the 1979 World Sprint Speed Skating Championships in Heerenveen. Korowicka retired from speed skating in 1981. She currently lives in Syców, Poland.
