Jason Babin is a former American football defensive end who played in the National Football League (NFL) for twelve seasons. He was drafted by the Houston Texans in the first round of the 2004 NFL Draft. He played college football at Western Michigan.
Babin was born on May 24, 1980 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He attended Paw Paw High School in Paw Paw, Michigan, where he was a three-sport athlete in football, basketball, and track. He was a two-time All-State selection in football and was named the team's MVP as a senior.
Babin played college football at Western Michigan University, where he was a two-time All-Mid-American Conference selection. He was also named the team's MVP as a senior.
Babin was drafted by the Houston Texans in the first round of the 2004 NFL Draft. He played for the Texans for four seasons before signing with the Seattle Seahawks in 2008. He then played for the Philadelphia Eagles from 2009 to 2011, the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2012, and the Tennessee Titans from 2013 to 2014.

On January 12, 2016, Babin signed with the Arizona Cardinals to add depth as an outside linebacker for the postseason after Alex Okafor was lost to an injury.
The Baltimore Ravens signed Babin on September 15, 2015. Babin was released on October 13, 2015.
On March 10, 2014, Babin voided the final two years of his contract to become a free agent. Three days later, on March 13, he re-signed with the team.
Babin was released from the Jaguars on June 19, 2014.
