Jason Ritter is an American actor and producer. He was born on February 17, 1980 in Los Angeles, California, U.S. He is the son of actor John Ritter and actress Nancy Morgan. He is best known for his roles in the television series Joan of Arcadia, Parenthood, and Gravity Falls.
Ritter began his acting career in 2001, appearing in an episode of the television series The Dreamer of Oz. He then went on to appear in a number of television series, including Joan of Arcadia, Grey's Anatomy, and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
In 2004, Ritter starred in the film The Butterfly Effect, and in 2006, he starred in the film The House of Sand and Fog. He also appeared in the films W., The Education of Charlie Banks, and The Perfect Family.

In October 2017, it was announced that Ritter was cast as Pat in the Netflix superhero series, Raising Dion. The first season was released on October 4, 2019.
In September 2019, it was revealed that Ritter would voice Ryder, a member of Northuldra tribe, in Frozen II.
In 2018, Ritter had a supporting role in The Tale, an autobiographical feature film written and directed by Jennifer Fox. The film premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival on January 20, 2018 and later on HBO on May 26, 2018.
