He is best known for his roles as the young Simba in Disney's 1994 animated feature film The Lion King, and as the voice of Louis in the animated series The Proud Family. He also starred in the sitcom Smart Guy and the films Drumline and Johnson Family Vacation. Weaver was born on July 18, 1979 in Chicago, Illinois. He began his career as a child actor, appearing in commercials and television shows. He made his feature film debut in the 1992 comedy House Party 3. Weaver's breakthrough role came in 1994 when he was cast as the young Simba in Disney's The Lion King. He also provided the singing voice for the character.
