Jenny Ming is a Chinese-American fashion executive who is best known for her role as the CEO of the clothing retailer Old Navy. She was born in Guangzhou, China in 1955 and moved to the United States in the late 1970s. She attended the University of California, Berkeley, where she earned a degree in business administration. Ming began her career in the fashion industry in the early 1980s, working for the Gap Inc. She rose through the ranks and eventually became the president of the Gap's Banana Republic division in 1995. In 2000, she was appointed CEO of Old Navy, a position she held until her retirement in 2009. Ming is a member of the board of directors of the Gap Inc., the National Retail Federation, and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. She is also a trustee of the San Francisco Ballet and the Asian Art Museum. Ming is married and has two children. Her net worth is estimated to be around $50 million.
