Jens Jørn Mortensen is a Danish weightlifter who competed in the 1948 Summer Olympics and 1952 Summer Olympics. He was born on 23 February 1927 in Skanderborg, Denmark. Mortensen began his weightlifting career in 1945 and won his first national title in 1947. He went on to win a total of seven Danish national titles in the featherweight division. At the 1948 Summer Olympics, Mortensen finished in fourth place in the featherweight division. He also competed in the 1952 Summer Olympics, but did not place. Mortensen retired from weightlifting in 1954 and went on to become a successful businessman. He is now 96 years old and still lives in Skanderborg. Mortensen is considered one of the greatest weightlifters in Danish history. He was inducted into the Danish Weightlifting Hall of Fame in 2008.
