He is best known for his work on the films The Olsen Gang (1968), The Olsen Gang in Jutland (1971), and The Olsen Gang on the Track (1975). Tvede was born in Frederiksberg, Denmark on 28 November 1920. He began his career in the film industry in the 1940s, working as an assistant director on several films. In the 1950s, he began directing his own films, including the comedy The Olsen Gang (1968). Tvede has been nominated for several awards, including the Danish Film Academy's Bodil Award for Best Danish Film in 1971 for The Olsen Gang in Jutland. He has also been nominated for the Robert Award for Best Danish Film in 1975 for The Olsen Gang on the Track. Tvede is currently retired and lives in Copenhagen, Denmark. His net worth is unknown.
