Jim Wheeler is a retired American professional basketball player who was born on 8 November, 1953 in Los Angeles, California. He attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and was drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers in the 1975 NBA Draft. He played for the Trail Blazers, the San Diego Clippers, the New Jersey Nets, and the Chicago Bulls during his professional career. Wheeler was a 6'7" forward who was known for his defensive prowess and his ability to score from the perimeter. He was a two-time All-Star and was named to the All-Defensive Second Team in 1979. He averaged 11.2 points and 5.2 rebounds per game during his career. Wheeler retired from the NBA in 1983 and has since worked as a basketball coach and scout. He currently serves as a scout for the Los Angeles Lakers. As of 2021, Jim Wheeler's net worth is estimated to be around $2 million.
