Jimmy Walker Jr. is an American actor best known for his role as J.J. Evans on the 1970s sitcom Good Times. He was born on February 12, 1949 in Cleveland, Ohio. Walker began his career as a stand-up comedian, performing in clubs and on television. He made his television debut in 1972 on The Flip Wilson Show. He then went on to appear in a number of television shows, including Sanford and Son, The Jeffersons, and What's Happening!! In 1974, Walker was cast as J.J. Evans on the sitcom Good Times. The show ran for six seasons and was a ratings success. Walker's character was known for his catchphrase "Dy-no-mite!" Walker has also appeared in a number of films, including The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh (1979), The Concorde... Airport '79 (1979), and The Toy (1982). Walker has been married twice.
