John Geddert is an American gymnastics coach who was born on 21 December, 1957 in Michigan. He is the founder and owner of Twistars USA Gymnastics Club in Dimondale, Michigan. He was the head coach of the 2012 U.S. Olympic women's gymnastics team, which won the team gold medal. Geddert began his coaching career in 1979 at the age of 21. He was the head coach of the U.S. women's gymnastics team at the 2011 World Championships, where the team won the gold medal. He was also the head coach of the U.S. women's team at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, where the team won the gold medal. Geddert has been inducted into the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame and the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame. He has also been honored with the USA Gymnastics Lifetime Achievement Award.
