John Rader is a former American politician who served as a member of the Kansas House of Representatives from 1967 to 1975. He was born on 11 February, 1927 in Howard, Kansas. Rader attended Kansas State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture in 1950. He then served in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953. After his military service, he returned to Kansas and worked as a farmer and rancher. Rader was elected to the Kansas House of Representatives in 1966 and served until 1975. During his time in office, he was a member of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee and the Appropriations Committee. He also served as the House Majority Leader from 1971 to 1975. Rader is a member of the Kansas Farm Bureau, the Kansas Cattlemen's Association, and the National Cattlemen's Association. He is also a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Rader is married to his wife, Mary, and they have two children. He currently resides in Howard, Kansas.
