Joseph Zulu is a Zambian politician and former diplomat who served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2011 to 2015. He was born on 7 April 1952 in Lusaka, Zambia. Zulu attended the University of Zambia, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History. He then went on to pursue a Master of Arts degree in International Relations from the University of London. Zulu began his career in the Zambian diplomatic service in 1979, serving in various capacities in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was appointed as the Zambian Ambassador to the United States in 1997, and served in that capacity until 2001. In 2011, Zulu was appointed as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, a position he held until 2015. During his tenure, he was instrumental in the establishment of the African Union's Peace and Security Council. As of 2021, Joseph Zulu is 68 years old.
