Josh Mankiewicz is an American journalist and correspondent for NBC News. He is best known for his work on Dateline NBC, where he has been a correspondent since 1992. He has also worked as a correspondent for ABC News and CBS News. Mankiewicz was born in Berkeley, California, on August 27, 1955. He is the son of screenwriter and director Joseph L. Mankiewicz and Rosemary Matthews. He graduated from Harvard University in 1977 with a degree in American history. Mankiewicz began his career in journalism in 1979, working as a reporter for KNBC-TV in Los Angeles. He then moved to ABC News in 1981, where he worked as a correspondent for World News Tonight and Nightline. In 1992, he joined Dateline NBC, where he has been a correspondent ever since. Mankiewicz has won numerous awards for his work, including two Emmy Awards, two Peabody Awards, and two Edward R. Murrow Awards. He has also been honored with the National Press Club's highest award, the Fourth Estate Award. As of 2021, Josh Mankiewicz's net worth is estimated to be roughly $2 million.
