She began her career as a singer in the 1940s, performing in cabarets and nightclubs. She made her film debut in 1948 in La Virgen de la Caridad. She went on to appear in numerous films throughout the 1950s and 1960s, including La Habana en llamas (1951), El caballo de oro (1954), and El show de Juana Bacallao (1962).
