Julien Desrosiers is a former professional ice hockey player who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Montreal Canadiens, New York Islanders, and Phoenix Coyotes. He was born on October 14, 1980 in Saint-Anaclet-de-Lessard, Quebec, Canada. Desrosiers began his professional career in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) with the Victoriaville Tigres in 1998. He was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in the second round of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut with the Canadiens in the 2001–02 season. He played in a total of 81 NHL games, scoring four goals and seven assists. In 2004, Desrosiers signed with the New York Islanders and played in the American Hockey League (AHL) for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. He then signed with the Phoenix Coyotes in 2006 and played in the AHL for the San Antonio Rampage. He retired from professional hockey in 2008. Desrosiers is currently the head coach of the Victoriaville Tigres of the QMJHL. He has also served as an assistant coach for the Montreal Canadiens and the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
