Kapil Sharma is an Indian stand-up comedian, television presenter, actor and producer. He is best known for hosting The Kapil Sharma Show, a popular comedy show on Sony Entertainment Television. He has also appeared in several films, including Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon (2015) and Firangi (2017).
Kapil Sharma was born on 2 April 1981 in Amritsar, Punjab, India. He is the son of Jeetendra Kumar Punj and Janak Rani. He has two siblings, Ashok Kumar Sharma and Pooja Sharma. He completed his schooling from Shri Ram Ashram Senior Secondary School in Amritsar. He then attended Hindu College in Amritsar and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Kapil Sharma began his career as a stand-up comedian in 2006. He rose to fame after winning the comedy reality show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2007.
