Reinders began her career in musical theater at the age of nine, performing in local productions in her hometown of Seattle. She attended the University of Michigan, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theater.
Reinders made her Broadway debut in 2003 in the musical Wicked, playing the role of Glinda. She went on to appear in the Broadway productions of Gypsy, Anything Goes, and The Visit. She has also appeared in the national tours of Wicked, Gypsy, and Anything Goes.
Reinders has also appeared in television and film, including roles in the television series The Good Wife, The Good Fight, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

It was announced on October 8, 2018 that Reinders will assume the role of Cynthia Weil in the Broadway production of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, replacing Kara Lindsay on October 19. As of 2019, she has been portraying Miss Jenn in the Disney+ series High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.

Reinders originated the role of Portia in the Broadway musical comedy Something Rotten!, which opened April 22, 2015 at the St. James Theatre. Her last performance was on July 16, 2016.
Reinders appears in the Mohegan Sun commercial, "Everyone's Invited" singing to the tune of the Rick James song Superfreak alongside former Wicked co-star, Saycon Sengbloh.
