She has released four studio albums, two live albums, and several singles. Arkana was born in Boulogne-Billancourt, France, to an Argentine father and a French mother. She began her career as a rapper in 2002, and released her debut album, Entre ciment et belle étoile, in 2006. The album was a critical and commercial success, and was certified gold in France. In 2009, Arkana released her second album, L'esquisse 2, which was also a success. She has since released two more albums, Tout tourne autour du soleil (2012) and La Rage de dire (2015). In addition to her music career, Arkana is an active political activist. She is a member of the French anti-globalization movement, and has spoken out against the French government's policies on immigration and the environment. She has also been involved in various social and environmental causes, including the fight against poverty and climate change.
