Kim Jung-man is a South Korean photographer who has been active since the late 1970s. He is best known for his black and white photographs of everyday life in South Korea. He has exhibited his work in numerous galleries and museums around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Seoul. Kim Jung-man was born on October 30, 1954 in Cheorwon-gun, South Korea. He studied photography at the Seoul Institute of the Arts and graduated in 1979. He then went on to work as a freelance photographer for various magazines and newspapers. Kim Jung-man has won numerous awards for his work, including the Korean Photographers Association Award in 1988 and the Korean Culture and Arts Award in 2002. He has also been featured in several books, including “Korean Photography: A History” and “Korean Photography: A New Perspective”. Kim Jung-man is currently living in Seoul, South Korea.
