Lalbiakthanga Pachuau is a renowned Indian journalist and author. He was born on 25 March 1927 in Mizoram, India. He is best known for his work in the field of journalism and his contribution to the development of the Mizo language. He started his career as a journalist in the 1950s and worked for various newspapers and magazines. He was the editor of the Mizo daily newspaper, 'Mizoram Post', for more than two decades. He also served as the editor of the Mizo monthly magazine, 'Mizo Thlir'. Lalbiakthanga is a journalist from Mizoram. He has been declared as the oldest working journalist in India by the Mizoram Journalist Association. He was awarded the Padma Shri on 8 November 2021.

Lalbiakthanga Pachuau joined Assam Regiment of the British Indian Army in 1945 and fought against the Japanese forces for the British during World War-II. He started his career in journalism with Zoram Thupuan in 1953. Later he started his own local daily ‘Zoram Tlangau’ from 1970.
