1987

Established the first dance company for the Los Angeles Music Center Opera in the 1987-1988 at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and The Shrine Auditorium, under the direction of opera great and artistic director, Placido Domingo. Lawrence also performed that season as their dance guest artist.

1969

made his stage debut in the children's chorus of the 1969 World Stage Premiere of Rodgers & Hammerstein's musical film, "State Fair" which starred Ozzie & Harriet Nelson at The St. Louis Muny Opera. The production was directed by James Hammerstein (Oscar's son), supervised by Richard Rodgers and choreographed by Tommy Tune. Lawrence returned in an all star cast to The Muny years later as a co-star in Cole Porter's "Can-Can".
