Songwriter ("See the USA in Your Chevrolet", "Gina", "Hey There, Lonely Boy"), composer, arranger, pianist and conductor, educated at Pennsylvania State University and a student of the Schillinger System at New York University. He led his own dance orchestra at college, and wrote college musicals. Arriving in New York in 1935, he wrote special material for night clubs, and later, television commercials, and the off-Broadway musical "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty".
