Leonardo Bercovici was an American writer, director, and producer. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, on January 4, 1908. He was best known for his work on the television series The Twilight Zone, for which he wrote several episodes. He also wrote for the television series The Outer Limits and The Alfred Hitchcock Hour. Bercovici began his career as a playwright, writing several plays that were produced on Broadway. He then moved into television, writing for several series in the 1950s and 1960s. He wrote for The Twilight Zone from 1959 to 1964, writing a total of nine episodes. He also wrote for The Outer Limits from 1963 to 1965, and for The Alfred Hitchcock Hour from 1962 to 1965. Bercovici also wrote several feature films, including The Night of the Following Day (1968), The Brotherhood of the Bell (1970), and The Cat Creature (1973). He also wrote and directed the film The Possession of Joel Delaney (1972). Bercovici died on April 28, 1988, in Los Angeles, California. He was 80 years old.
