Linda McCulloch is an American politician who served as the 24th Secretary of State of Montana from 2009 to 2017. She was the first woman to hold the office. Born in Springfield, Ohio, McCulloch graduated from the University of Montana in 1976 with a degree in political science. She then worked as a legislative assistant in the Montana State Senate and later as a lobbyist for the Montana Association of Counties. McCulloch was elected to the Montana House of Representatives in 1992 and served until 2000. She was then elected to the Montana Senate in 2000 and served until 2008. In 2008, McCulloch was elected Secretary of State of Montana, becoming the first woman to hold the office. She was re-elected in 2012 and served until 2017.
