Lisa Posthumus Lyons is an American politician who currently serves as the Michigan House of Representatives Majority Floor Leader. She was first elected to the Michigan House of Representatives in 2010 and is currently serving her fourth term. She is a member of the Republican Party. Lyons was born in Alto, Michigan, and graduated from Grand Valley State University with a degree in political science. She went on to earn a law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Lyons is married to Kent Lyons, and they have three children. She is a member of the National Rifle Association and the Michigan Chamber of Commerce. In the Michigan House of Representatives, Lyons serves on the Appropriations Committee, the Judiciary Committee, and the Tax Policy Committee. She is also the chair of the House Republican Policy Committee. In addition to her political career, Lyons is a partner at the law firm of Varnum LLP, where she specializes in labor and employment law. She is also a member of the Michigan Women's Foundation and the Michigan Women's Leadership Council.
