Louise Gibney was an American actress who was active in the film industry from the 1920s to the 1940s. She was born Lillian Gertrude Harrington on December 6, 1895 in Boston, Massachusetts. She began her career in the theater, appearing in productions such as "The Cat and the Fiddle" and "The Little Show". In the 1920s, she began appearing in films, with her first credited role being in the 1923 silent film "The White Rose". She went on to appear in over 30 films, including "The Cat and the Canary" (1927), "The Thirteenth Chair" (1929), "The Cat Creeps" (1930), and "The Cat and the Canary" (1939). Gibney was married to actor and director Edward Sedgwick from 1927 until his death in 1953. She retired from acting in the 1940s and died on August 8, 1975 in Los Angeles, California. Her net worth at the time of her death is unknown.
