Ludvig Strigeus is a Swedish computer programmer and entrepreneur best known for creating the popular peer-to-peer file sharing program uTorrent. He is also the founder of the software company Strixus AB. Born on 15 January 1981 in Gothenburg, Sweden, Strigeus grew up in a family of computer enthusiasts. He began programming at the age of 10 and by the time he was 15, he had already created his first game. Strigeus attended the University of Gothenburg, where he studied computer science and engineering. After graduating in 2004, he began working as a software engineer for the Swedish software company, Global Gaming Factory. In 2005, Strigeus created uTorrent, a peer-to-peer file sharing program that quickly became one of the most popular programs of its kind. The program was acquired by BitTorrent Inc. in 2006 and Strigeus continued to work on the program until 2011. In 2011, Strigeus founded Strixus AB, a software company that develops mobile applications. He is currently the CEO of the company.
