He is best known for his roles in the films "The Hourglass Sanatorium" (1973), "The Promised Land" (1975), and "Man of Iron" (1981). Prus began his career as an actor in the 1950s, appearing in several Polish films. He made his directorial debut in 1967 with the film "The Last Day of Summer". He went on to direct several other films, including "The Hourglass Sanatorium" (1973), "The Promised Land" (1975), and "Man of Iron" (1981). Prus has won numerous awards for his work, including the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival for "Man of Iron" (1981). He was also awarded the Order of Polonia Restituta in 1981.
