Mariani Dimaranan was a Filipino politician who served as a member of the Philippine House of Representatives from the 2nd District of Pampanga from 1965 to 1972. She was born on 1 February 1925 in Angeles City, Pampanga, Philippines. Dimaranan was a member of the Liberal Party and was the first woman to be elected to the Philippine House of Representatives. She was also the first woman to be appointed as a member of the Philippine Commission on Elections. Dimaranan was a staunch advocate for women's rights and was a founding member of the Women's Political Caucus. She was also a member of the Philippine Women's Party and the Philippine Women's Movement. Dimaranan was married to the late Congressman Jose Dimaranan and had three children. She passed away on 28 April 2020 at the age of 95.
