In 1957, Strizhenova made her film debut in The Cranes Are Flying, which won the Palme d'Or at the 1958 Cannes Film Festival. She went on to appear in numerous films, including The Irony of Fate (1975), The Ascent (1977), and The Meeting Place Cannot Be Changed (1979). Strizhenova has been married twice. Her first marriage was to actor Aleksandr Strizhenov, with whom she had two children. Her second marriage was to actor Aleksandr Abdulov, with whom she had one child.
