Marius Tincu is a former Romanian rugby union player who played as a hooker. He played for the Romania national team from 2000 to 2011, and was part of the squad that won the silver medal at the 2007 Rugby World Cup. He also played for the French club Stade Français from 2006 to 2011. Tincu was born in Vânători, Romania, and began playing rugby at the age of 12. He made his debut for Romania in 2000, and went on to make a total of 81 appearances for the national team. He was part of the Romania squad that won the silver medal at the 2007 Rugby World Cup, and was also part of the team that won the European Nations Cup in 2006 and 2008. In 2006, Tincu signed for the French club Stade Français, where he played until 2011. He was part of the Stade Français team that won the Top 14 in 2007 and 2008. Tincu retired from rugby in 2011, and is now a coach. He is currently the head coach of the Romania national team.
