Mark Militano is an American pair skater who was born on 28 March, 1954 in American. He is a two-time U.S. national champion and a two-time World bronze medalist. He is also a three-time Grand Prix Final bronze medalist. Militano began skating at the age of seven and competed in singles until he was sixteen. He then switched to pairs and teamed up with his first partner, Diane Sherbloom. The pair won the U.S. national title in 1975 and 1976. Militano then teamed up with his second partner, Judy Schwomeyer. The pair won the bronze medal at the 1979 World Championships and the bronze medal at the 1980 Grand Prix Final. Militano retired from competitive skating in 1981 and began coaching. He has coached many successful pairs teams, including the 2002 Olympic bronze medalists, Jamie Salé and David Pelletier. Militano is currently the head coach of the Ice House of New Jersey. He is married to former pairs skater, Judy Schwomeyer, and they have two children.
