Martin Asbury is an English art director, special effects artist, and animation director. He is best known for his work on the Wallace and Gromit films, Chicken Run, and The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. He has also worked on a number of other films, including The Great Mouse Detective, The Prince of Egypt, and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Asbury was born in Uxbridge, Middlesex, England, and studied at the Royal College of Art in London. He began his career in the film industry in the late 1960s, working as an assistant art director on films such as The Charge of the Light Brigade and The Battle of Britain. In the 1980s, Asbury began working in the animation industry, first as a layout artist on the animated series The Wind in the Willows. He then went on to work as a storyboard artist on the animated series The Adventures of Spot, and as a layout artist on the animated feature The Great Mouse Detective. In the 1990s, Asbury worked as an art director on the Wallace and Gromit films, A Grand Day Out, The Wrong Trousers, and A Close Shave. He also worked as an art director on the animated feature Chicken Run, and as a special effects artist on the animated feature The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. Asbury has also worked on a number of other films, including The Prince of Egypt, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists.
