Martin Weber is a former East German ski jumper who was born on 15 April 1954 in Kleinschmalkalden, Floh-Seligenthal, Germany. He competed in the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup from 1975 to 1983, and won the overall World Cup title in 1981. He also won the Four Hills Tournament in 1981 and 1982, and was the first East German to win the prestigious event. Weber was a member of the East German national ski jumping team from 1975 to 1983, and won a total of nine World Cup events during his career. He also won two gold medals at the 1982 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo, Norway, and a bronze medal at the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, New York. Weber retired from ski jumping in 1983, and has since worked as a coach and ski jumping commentator. He currently lives in Oberhof, Germany.
