Matija Dedic is a Croatian musician, born in 1973 in Zagreb, Croatia. He is best known for his work as a guitarist and composer in the Croatian rock band Prljavo Kazaliste. He has also released several solo albums, and has collaborated with numerous other Croatian musicians. Dedic began playing guitar at the age of 12, and soon after joined Prljavo Kazaliste. He has been a member of the band since its formation in 1979. He has composed and arranged many of the band's songs, and has also released several solo albums. Dedic has collaborated with numerous Croatian musicians, including Zlatko Pejaković, Zoran Predin, and Goran Bregović. He has also composed music for several films, including the award-winning Croatian film "The High Sun". Dedic has won numerous awards for his work, including the Porin Award for Best Rock Album in 2006, and the Croatian Music Academy Award for Best Rock Album in 2007.
