Matthew Tuck is a British musician, singer, and songwriter best known as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of the Welsh metalcore band Bullet for My Valentine. He was born on 20 January, 1980 in Bridgend, United Kingdom. Tuck attended Bridgend's Ogmore Comprehensive School, where he met future bandmates Michael Paget and Michael Thomas. He formed Bullet for My Valentine in 1998, and the band released their debut album, The Poison, in 2005. The album was a commercial success, reaching number three on the UK Albums Chart and number one on the US Billboard Top Independent Albums chart. Tuck has also released two solo albums, Matt Tuck in 2011 and Battery Point in 2020. He has also collaborated with other artists, including the Welsh rock band Lostprophets and the American metalcore band Asking Alexandria. On 22 June 2007 it was announced that he needed a tonsillectomy. The band was forced to cancel all of their shows, including their tour as a support band for Metallica. Unable to speak, Tuck wrote that as soon as doctors cleared him he would be in the studio working on the band's next album.

After bassist Nick Crandle left, they picked up Jason James as their new bassist and renamed the band Bullet for My Valentine. They have released 6 studio albums and 4 EPs. The band has sold over one million albums in the United States and over 3,000,000 albums worldwide and are the most-successful act in the Kerrang! Awards category of "Best British Band" with three wins.
