Metakse Poghosian is a Member of the National Assembly of Armenia. She was born in Artik, Shirak Province, on December 23, 1926. She graduated from the Yerevan State University in 1950 and worked as a teacher and a librarian. In 1990, she was elected to the Supreme Council of Armenia and was re-elected in 1995. She was elected to the National Assembly in 1999 and has been a Member since then. Metakse is a member of the Republican Party of Armenia and is a member of the Standing Committee on Social Affairs. She is also a member of the Armenian Women's Council. Metakse is a widow and has two children. She is 88 years old and her net worth is not known.
