Michael Biggs was an English actor and comedian who was best known for his roles in the British television series The Likely Lads and its sequel, Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads? He was born in Stockport, Cheshire, England, and began his career as a stage actor in the 1950s. He made his television debut in the 1960s, appearing in a number of British television series, including The Avengers, The Saint, and Doctor Who. In 1964, Biggs was cast in the role of Bob Ferris in the BBC sitcom The Likely Lads, which ran for three series until 1966. He reprised the role in the sequel series, Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads?, which ran from 1973 to 1974. He also appeared in the films The Likely Lads (1976) and Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads? (1974). Biggs was married to actress and singer Pat Coombs from 1956 until her death in 2002. He died on 28 August, 1994 in London, England, at the age of 66.
